Gulbankian Florist has been proudly serving our community for over 60 years. Established in 1961, we are family owned and operated. We are located in the central Massachusetts town of Southborough.
When it all began
Gulbankian Farms originally began in 1920 by Giragos Gulbankian and was operated as a wholesale fruit, vegetable, poultry, and dairy farm. The farm operated in this capacity until 1961, when a retail farm stand was opened on Rte. 85. At that time, the small farm stand run by Michael Gulbankian and his wife Alice specialized in selling their farm-grown fruit, produce, and plants. In 1965 the business relocated to its current location, and Alice Gulbankian started Southborough’s first florist shop. The business developed into a full-service florist, garden center, and gift shop.
Over the last 50 years, we have established an excellent reputation for our high quality, long lasting and unique floral arrangements. Furthermore, our selection of homegrown specialty plants is extensive. Most recently, we have added a wonderful gift and apparel selection which our customers truly enjoy. Our floral creations can be seen throughout the area at many local businesses, homes, and churches. Our customers appreciate the personal touch they receive from dealing with us, their local family florist, and we, in turn, appreciate their loyalty. They not only receive something very special, but receive excellent personalized service, and follow up as well, whether it be a delivery confirmation email, phone call, and/or photo of their order. We aim to please!
Our fresh flowers arrive daily from the many farms we buy from around the world, and as much as possible, we support local growers such as ourselves, for the “freshest” flowers available on the market. Our team is always ready to design a custom arrangement in case you want some fresh ideas that you had in mind for your recipient. Just let us know your thoughts and ideas, and we will bring them to life for you!
